Covering a game gives me an energy unlike anything else.

But sportswriting is only a small part of what I do. I love beat reporting because I get to follow a team’s narrative throughout a season and trace every small development. I also love writing athlete profiles, because nearly everyone has a fascinating story that is just waiting to be shared.

However, I promise to never “stick to sports.” The sports world is more connected than ever before with the world of news and politics, and I am fascinated by that intersection. I have experience covering high school and college sports, as well as local news and national politics.
